Default Exhaust Install Difficulty?

Been searching all over and can't find the difficulty in exhaust work on the Z. I have an 06 Enthusiast so I'm not sure how difficult it is to drop the stock and attach a true dual (see other thread). On my old Grand Cherokee we had to torch off the bolts at the Y-Pipe connectors and it was a nightmare to do all that work and took the better part of two-three days up on an air lift. I've read in some places that it seems to be much easier and more of a bolt off/bolt on procedure for the Z, however can anyone verify?

It sounds to be that there are just mounting bolts and hangers that have to be pulled to drop the stock out and then a much cleaner reverse for the dual, this sound about right?

Thanks in advance!

It's an easy swap, just depends on how rusted out the bolts are.

OP, you're pretty much right. I've gone through multiple exhaust changes, and the hardest part has always been getting the damned rubber thing off the hanger. Between that and the possibility of rusted bolts as hellman said, the Z doesn't have any intrinsic difficulties to exhaust removal. No impossible to reach bolts or anything.

I use PB Blaster…which is a rust release agent…when I come across or know I am going to have to deal with rusted-on parts I try to hit those with the PB Blaster a day or two before I plan to do the work.

Even if you have to take an angle grinder to your existing exhaust, it's not too hard and access is decent…just be careful when working around your drive-shaft and your car-body.

I usually unbolt the hangers and remove the rubber mount...Doshoru is right, pain in the *** if it's under the car, less of a pain in the *** if you unbolt and remove while off the car. In the rear, you need to remove 3each, 10mm (I think) bolts to expose the exhaust hanger - pretty straight forward thou.

Awesome, thanks a lot guys! I wasn't sure if I would do the full cat-back swap depending on how it ranked next to my Jeep's removal but this sounds much more straight forward.
