I have this posted in Maintenance as well but figured I would post here too since I know a lot of you motorheads frequent this area and know a lot more than I do!

My driver side cat has been ticking/clicking (increasing in frequency with applied throttle). I have the 2006 Enthusiast Automatic Trans and have noticed some oil consumption, does this sound like it could be my oil burning off in my cat and that would cause the ticking/clicking sound? If so, how would I go about checking this to see if this is indeed the cause?
