Default Nismo/Borla True Dual/TopSpeed Pro N-1 Exhaust

i can't decide!!!!! this is what i've read about all these exhausts

Nismo: Good sounding, gains compare to borla, torque gains more than borla.....

Borla True Dual: Deeper stock sounding, gains compare to nismo, torque gains don't compare to nismo.....supposidly heavier than stock......

TopSpeed Pro N-1: Very loud (350z on steroids).....gains ranging to 10hp and very little torque gains.....

i dunno guys help me out with this decision.....

Ben

Get the Nismo, you won't be disappointed.

I've had this same question in my mind for about a month. I've heard the Borla and Nismo and Borla in person and while they both sound nice (I prefer the Nismo sound) I want a more aggressive tone. I was leaning towards the Pro N-1 but some of the comments lately about the lound sound have made me hesitant. I don't want something obnoxiously loud. I hope to hear it in person as a member from NJ has it and I can drive down to hear it.

Hopefully we'll get more feedback here as well to help make the decision that much easier.

I went with the Nismo for several reasons - quality/fit, sound, desgined by Nissan motorsports for the 350Z - and I remember a wise man told me years ago - we buy because of horsepower numbers but we drive torque - go with the Nismo - I've had Borla, good company, but in this case - too many pieces and clamps.

good luck,
Steve

i simply love my nismo, and i wouldn't have gone any other way. Few pieces means easy install, and the sound, omg the sound. Its melodic. You wont be dissapointed.

This has been discussed too many times. My opinion on catbacks:

[Borla Dual]

- If you're NOT planning to get headers
- Good, if your going with FI at any point

[Nismo]

- If you plan to get Nismo headers
- Not good for FI

I don't think the Pro1 is in that link. Sins4u33, I installed the Pro1 Sunday and it is growing on me by the day but you seriously will not be running the exhaust with the silencers OUT very much, especially on a road trip. I'm cruisin the silencers today and its truly not nearly as bad as I first thought.

The bottom line is it's your choice. Everyone will have their opinion on which exhaust is the best. No one will agree on a single exhaust system. Get what will make you happy. My personal choice is the Nismo.

I did not get the Borla because it sounded so much like the stock exhaust. I'm sure its a very good system but the comments about it having so many pieces also scared me.

can anyone help me with this why is the borla not good if u r planning on getting headers? and why is it better is your are planning on getting forced induction? also why is the nismo good if u plan on getting the nismo headers? and why is it not good for Forced induction??? this is the one thing holding me back from deciding between the two of them....

Nismo is not true dual, just dual tip. Less flow, more torque. Work better with nismo headers.

Borla makes headers, but they don't do much vs. price installed.

Do a few searches, most of this has already been covered.
