Default ebay exhaust on a 2004 350z?

Is ebay exhaust even worth purchasing? I have the money to buy a nicer exhaust system, but I definitely wouldn't mind saving a few bucks if ebay exhaust isn't too terrible. Is it worth saving the money, or should I not waste my time? This is the first car I'll be modifying myself, so you could say I'm new to this.

You need to be a bit more specific. There are tons of replicas on ebay, as well as authentic exhaust setups....in the end you'll get what you pay for. Though, there has been lots of the hks replica for example...purchased, and people running them for quite a while with no issues....it's hit n miss. Do your research...

Don't waste your money on a replica.

Save up and get the real thing. You won't regret it.

I would shy away from ebay…if you're looking to save money then buy a used exhaust, quite possibly off the forum or craigslist (I would avoid craigslist unless you are very confident in knowing what's a real exhaust and what's a knock off). I would find a name brand that looks like it's in good condition from a member that has a good reputation.

You can install the exhaust yourself if you're looking for a little project - it's pretty easy...

So what I'm understanding from reading everyone's posts and doing a little more research on my own, is that I should probably go with a name brand exhaust. That's what I figured, but it was worth asking! Thanks for the help.
