Default Test pipes to loud

I recently put eBay test pipes on my 350 and it's very loud. I park in the garage and it's right above my parents room and it wakes them up. I also don't like the raspy sound they make. I'm thinking about getting stillen high flow cats and just wanted to know how much quieter they are and if they smell at all?

the 'ebay' factor probably isnt the is culprit here…test pipes are typically are not quiet and they do produce a rapsy sound…what exhaust are you running?

High flow cats may be a viable option at this point -

you can avoid some rasp by getting resonated test pipes
they dont sound so bad thats what i have
the smell with HFC is far less than with test pipes
ive ran test pipes for the past year with no smell inside the car even with the windows down.

also creep up in/ out of your garage, if youre not already doing so. theres no need to rev your engine when youre home.

Put your stock cats back on. Because are you planning to track your car? You don't need to sacrifice the low end torque for gains on the top end where you will rarely see.

If its really bothering you, put the cats back on.

I put test pipes on a week ago and I love them. The car isnt any louder at idle or while driving, so I dont know how youre noticing that. I did get some rasp at 3000ish RPM but its not as bad as my Civic when I took off the cat.

I wanted resonated test pipes but these were a gift so theyll do

Motordyne ART pipes, no CEL, little to no rasp, and it's not crazy loud just deepens the tone
