What is Plenum?
i know a lot about these cars but for some reason i have never heard of plenum... from what i've read it is a good mod for performance reasons. what exactly is its function? Thanks!
A plenum distributes air to the cylinders heads. It usually has some kind of tube or collector after the throttle, then exhaust like runners which go into the head. Varying plenum volume and runner size and shape can yield increased hp and torque.
Here's a pic of the collector area of ours. The big silver thing under the strut bar.

It's hard to get used to all the lingo the import tuners use. They have a different word for everything. I heard someone here call a shift kit for a tranny something really funny, but I can't remember what it was.
