Ditto!

If that does not work, reinstall the intake tube and make sure that everything is ecure, maybe you have a leak or something.

It is either the MAF sensor not plugged in properly or any part of the intake tube is not connected properly.

Did you disconnect the battery? If so make sure those are tight. If the ground is loose the car will die.

If you check everything that the previous people mentioned and you still have a problem. Put the stock air box back on and see if the problem persists.

The mechanic is more than likely right. Have you checked that you got the vaccum tube seated properly on the new CAI?

I don't know.. I've run without vacuum tubes installed before and the engine didn't cut out. Also, the MAF plug only goes in one way, so if you forced it in the other way I'm pretty sure you broke it. I'd also recommend putting the stock airbox back on and checking if the problem persists.

Good luck with your trouble shooting. Keep us posted.

Edit- oh i didn't see that you were in Cherry Hill. If you want, shoot me an email and I'll drive down and help you out. dcp225@stern.nyu.edu

I had the same problem..I reinstalled MY MAF in BACKWARDS..Meaning it was reading airflow the opposite direction..Double check this..Its most likely the problem..I dont think a vaccume leak would be severe enough to make it stall..

No..I put the whole housing in backwards...Dont ask...It took me 6 hours to figure it out, cause I put in a fuel tap at the same time and thought it was the fuel supply...

I'm not trying to put you on the defensive, but exactly how would a metal pipe be defective?

Not the angle, but the direction of air flow. Take a closer look at the MAF tube. When it is installed correctly, the 4 bolt end (that used to screw into the stock airbox) is toward the front of the car.
