Default Heat Shields and Kinetix HFC ?

Hey guys,

Do I need to run the floor pan heat shields with the Kinetix HFC? I pulled the heat shields off while installing the Kinetix because they were pressed up against the shields pretty good. Now the floor pan of the vehicle and underneath the vehicle obviously gets pretty hot while driving

Do I need to re install them? Will it cause damage / has anyone else had experience with this? I don't see a way I can bend the driver side heat shield more than a 1/4" which may or may not give sufficient clearance from the cat.

+1 I installed the same cats a week ago and had been having the same fitment issue with the shields, rubbing on the driver's side and barely clearing the left. I flattened the driver's shield a bit and it clears but JUST barely.

I re installed the heat shields and bent them back about 1/4" as well. Works, but barely. Sucks. My new issue now is the damn vibration with the Kinetix HFC and Nismo Y-pipe on deceleration. It's terrible - the body of the vehicle vibrates around 2,500 rpm.
