Default Correct intake place

Hi guys,

I bought 350z some monts ago and I wonder if the previous owner did a god job in positioning the intake. In my opininon it is a wrong place to take the air and also losses some hp. A photo waht's going on under the hood.

Thanks in advice for help.

That's actually a great place for it. Not exposed to anywhere that rain can soak it and it isn't in the engine bay
