Default how to get a deeper exhaust noise?

Is there any way to actually make your 350z sound deeper. I grew up around American v8's but I am defiently an import person. Whenever I hear a ricey fart can civic I can't stop laughing. I currently have a stillen exhaust with test pipes and when I rev it, it sounds amazing. But if I'm actualy in gear it sounds awsome untill 3,500rpm. Once I hit that it get high pitched. Besides things like increasing displacement. How can you get it to maintain that deep exhaust noise? Is there anyway without swapping to a different exhaust

Nothing will ever replace the sound of a V8. I don't think there is much you can do with the tone in the upper RPM range.

Different engines have a different sound, not much you can do.

Yeah you can make it sound deeper but not like a v8.

I love the sound of the stock setup because you can hear the v6 and it sounds nice.

Have Yamaha tune your exhaust, ask Aston Martin to give you an engine from the One 77, V12 Vantage or go to Italy and let Lamborghini help you out. You can also hire this dude to make the sound you want when your driving.

I love the stock note too. It doesn't really sound like a V6 with the stock or Nismo exhaust though. It sounds more exotic like one of the Aston Martin V8's of the 90's or early 2000's. Honestly the Z33 is the best sounding production Nissan I ever heard. Way better than the 370 and better than the GTR. (All in stock form of course).

IMO deepest sounding exhaust is HKS.

Also note that having test pipes will make any exhaust a tad higher pitched.

370Z sounds like doodoo. Not sure why they made it sound so different from the 350, even the HR considering how similar the engines are.

I like the sound of vtec so raw and mean. And Subaru has the boxer grumble. I think the 350z has a distinct chime and tone to it.

Motordyne or HKS Exhaust + HFC's = completely different sound then OEM

You could also try the Borla, might be a deeper tone that you're looking for:

^nice.

OP you are probably running non-res test pipes. Swap with resonated ones and see if that works.

I love the VQ tone on our cars. It has the agile/exotic tone to it and I like it more than the V8 muscle car burble.

Mine was pretty deep and it consisted of:

Motordyne ART pipes
Motordyne XYZ Resonated Y pipe
Nismo Mid pipe
Greddy Spectrum Elite axle back
