Default Borla TD Exhaust vs LSD Hi-Flow Cats + JIC Y-Pipe.

The Borla True Dual Exhaust is around $800.

The Kinetix Hi Flow Cats + JIC Y-Pipe is around $800 dollars.

What is better?

Im thinking Kinetix + JIC...

I am thinking the same. CATS + Y-Pipe = Better bang for the Buck, IMO

I'm wondering if the JIC Y-pipe will work with the Borla TD?

Why not go with the Borla TD plus the HF cats????

Is it a money issue? I have a local guy doing the Borla for 600.00 and the cats are around 500.00 if you use R/T. That is 1,100 for an entire cat back plus HF Cats. Makes sense to me. Kinetix resells the Magnaflow, I am sure they are just as nice as R/T. So if you want go Kinetix + the Borla. I would think either of those combos would give the biggest gains right?

Is there a diffrence between the JIC Y pipe and the one that the Nismo exhaust comes with? How much horse is in the muffler of say the Nismo? Im just trying to figure out if most of the gain are from the Y pipe or is it a better flowing muffler or is the increase from both? Does just changing the Y pipe change the sound of the car at all? So many parts so lil time

Thanx

Well, I have the Japtrix Y-Pipe/B-Pipe. Dyno from Japtrix showed an ~11HP over stock. I believe that all aftermarket Y-Pipe will pretty much give you similar gains. Y-Pipe alone will probably give you ~ 5-6 HP over stock. I think that the stock muffler is actually quite good. As quite a few people will attest to this, the muffler is actually more for sounds than actual real world HP.

When I put on my Y-Pipe/B-Pipe, I have a more gutteral sound between 4-5K. Overall sound is pretty much the same compared to stock.

no most exhaust systems(including the borla) are cat back, meaning they include the Ypipe replacement. the borla goes a set further and is a dual pipe from the cats.

Id agree, borla and cats.

what good is just a ypipe, unless you never intend on changing your muffler section, or like one of the 2 or 3 muffler only exhaust systems.
