Thanks for the quick and helpful replies.

I'm trying to resist pressing the order button on one right now. Need to save for new wheels!

Moti, I think I may have seen you on the 5 today. Did you see a blue Z in front of you while getting on the 170?

Yeah, I'm always on devonshire so it was quite possibly me. I've also got kinetix high flow cats which just made the borla sound a lot sweeter.

I bought the jwt but didn't install it yet. I thought resetting the ECU isn't needed. Can someone please clear this up.

I think that no reset is just fine, though it might take a couple of days worth of driving for it to adapt.

I didnt reset mine and it seems fine. Your ECU will "learn" it over time i guess. Also, there is the theory that if you reset your ECU, that the car will "unlearn" it over time as well. Anyone know anything about this? It sounds like if we put bolt-on mods on our car, we wont see any gain because the ECU will compensate for the mod, adjust parameters and put the air/fuel ratio back to stock thus eliminating any gains. Ive heard of folks resetting their ECU about every 3 weeks to avoid this. Supposedly the only way we we see gains from mods is if we get an aftermarket ECU.

The ECU will put the AF ratio back to stock but that means that it is adding more fuel to match the increased airflow and more of both of those means more power. There is a range that the ECU can adapt to and when you surpass that limit, the car starts to run lean and needs a flash. Look at 350ZtrackZ, he is putting 280 to the wheels with no ECU mod.

Well I installed mine today and my SES light is on. It actually turned on before I installed. I Unplugged the MAF sensor and was about to install, then I got a call to go to work. Forgot to plug it back...started the car ...and then OH SH*T. HAHAH popped the hood and plugged it back in... 2 hours later I installed the pop charger. Got everything installed good except one thing. When I was taking off the OEM air filter box I only unscrewed 3 out of the 4 bolts I was suppose to take out before I lifted it out... and broke the plastic along with the screw off the OEM air box Well what now? Either way I am screwed putting OEM or jwt in....so I put the jwt in...got everything installed....tighten the top, left and right bolts to the stock hose to the new air filter....seems to be very very tight....I then turned on my car ..Had it running for 15 mins...then took it around the block... SES light still on. But that was previous...no other lights came on. And the engine stayed at its normal temp...but when the car sits idle, its kind of shaky...not bad. But I can feel it. You guys think I will be alright or should I find someone with that part of the OEM hose for sale? Other than that I am going to take it to the dealership to get the light take off and drive it a lot to make sure its not a problem. Great first mod to have. Friday I am putting in Stillen Test Pipes and Nismo exhaust. I hope I don¡¦t break something on this ƒº. Any suggestions on the broken part or just leave it and see what it does?

I'm a little confused as to what piece you broke off. There is only one screw holding the box in itself. Do you mean you broke the box where the MAF sensor mounts?
