Default Nismo Catback Exhaust for a 2007

Any recommendations where I can buy the Nismo Exhaust for my 2007 350z? I see that there are newer models available for 370z, but I could not find the one for a 2007 350z. Will the newer model made for 370z fit 350z as well?

The Nismo S tune catback is prolly in short supply due the 350 no longer in production.
Check Fujitsubo exhausts. They make the Nismo for the 350z.Its the same exhaust.
You should find one at a cheaper price too due to it not having the Nismo name.
Don't think the 370 exhaust will fit your car without some mods to fit.Find the Nismo
or Fujitsubo. Its a direct bolt on.Sounds great especially with HFC's.

Quick google search yielded this as the first result:
http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/15-6085

Welcome. And the S-Tune is expensive. Many opt for a replica such as Fujitsubo

Broke like 3 of the nismo y pipes. The hr y pipe shows gains over it. I do enjoy the muffler though. Check Craigslist for them, I'd always see them up.

Contact them and see when/if they are restocking. It's the only way to know. Other than that, keep an eye out on the forum marketplace and your local CL. They are quite common recently on the forum.

So, if I just want a better sound and not interested in the power gain, can I just replace the muffler?

If you can find just the S-Tune muffler, you'll have to make a short adapter pipe to mate the muffler with the OEM (or most aftermarket) midpipes. This is because the S-Tune midpipe is longer than the others, to mate with the shorter input pipe on the S-Tune muffler. Here's what I did on my '08:

Oh Thanks! I really wish it was this hard to find a Nismo exhaust NEW. Even the other ones mentioned in this thread are not that cheap either..

I got mine for like 500, fresh out the box! Then I destroyed a couple y pipes...put a dent in it( you can't tell but I know it's there) and I decided time to raise the car.

But check craigslist and eBay and be patient, it'll work out.

I've been looking for the Nismo S-Tune exhaust as well with no luck. They are no longer being produced by Nissan and every vendor online I've contacted does not have them in stock. The only real option left is to either buy a used one or a knockoff.

Am beginning to think if anyone experimented with the 370z Nismo part? Wouldnt it fit 350z? How different could they be?

The only way to get one close to nismo is the fujitsubo exhaust.

Would that also have the same problem with the Y pipe? Anything I should be concerned if I go with Fujitsubo? ANy specific model I should be looking for?

It's the muffler to mid pipe that's different on the s tune. Any old y pipe will bolt up if you have those two pieces. Someone's done it before putting the 370z exhaust on. I can't remember exactly what it entailed; but something about lengthening/ shortening and an exhaust hanger in the wrong spot. But I could be wrong.

Fujitsubo called their version "Legalis R". No Y-pipe is included (which is OK, because the S-Tune Y-pipe isn't as good as the OEM HR, and it cracks easily), the exhaust tips are single-walled, and no "NISMO" etching. All the same, otherwise.

The mods to install the 350Z S-Tune on an OEM 350Z mid-pipe are detailed above in post #9. As for the 370Z muffler, it's got dual in-pipes on its leading edge, so it's very different from the 350z with only a single in-pipe on the left side. The 370Z has dual mid-pipes.

Let me take a step back and ask what I am really looking for - I am not interested in any power gain. I just want a better sound. So, should I be looking at a complete cat-back system or would just changing the muffler do the job? If I need just a muffler, then, can I get something which can replace the stock muffler? And what is the most popular after-market one?
