Need a new muffler help a bro out
What's up guys, the flange come from my muffler to the rest of the exhaust piping completely rusted off on the muffler side. Looking for some relatively inexpensive thoughts. I love the sound of my VQ. I really can't see spend 250+ on a used stock muffler off eBay when I can go with (I know mixed thoughts) an HKS replica but I'm not a huge fan of the sound of the real HKS. I don't want my car to sound ricey at the price of min gains. I found a "stock" muffler on parts geek.com for 108$ this seems to good to be true and I've read some crappy reviews about that company. Has anyone used them? Do you think an exhaust shop can just weld a new flange onto my old muffler at a decent price? The only exhaust in really crazy about is the s-tune, and borla

A good exhaust shop should be able to do anything you want with a pre-existing system already in place. I would shop around your area and talk to them about the labor and costs.
Awesome thanks. I figure that would be my best bet until its not my dd and I decide if I'm going to shed some serious chedda and go with an all out FI build. I'm gonna keep my girl forever :-)
Damn bro I'm on Long Island it's a trek up to Binghamton. Thanks a lot though. Did you switch to a new system? I'm gonna end up seeing what the muffler spot near me says hopefully they can just weld on a new flange with some sort of a coupling. I really want to go with a new full cat back system but not before I go FI and can afford hiflow cats also and do it proper. Crazy how expensive a good system is done proper
