So I won a SOHO motorsports single exhaust at ZdayZ for my 03 350z.

Got it all mounted up and wanted to know what one of these combos would sound/perform the best. I know I want the Motordyne XYZ for all the versatility on the straight/resonator/HFC attachments. Plus its alot cheaper than sohos y pipe. has to pass NC emissions.

I was thinking either

1. ART pipes>XYZ w/straight piece>soho (do you think this will be too raspy? and also art pipes will pass emissions right?)

2. ART Pipes> XYZ w/resonator>soho (would it be too quiet, like quieter than with just the current soho y back?)

3. Some test pipes> XYZ w/HFC>soho (dont know any good brand tp's, and would it pass inspect?)


I love the sound of the SOHO itself with just the mid pipe back at 6k rpm, but would like it a little louder deceibel wise all around if possible.

 

you need a cat to pass if they do visual inspection

 

If you can afford it, definitely ART pipes to XYZ with resonator/HFC .. I wouldn't straight pipe it .. exhaust will smell bad and you'll have rasp

 

Thanks, ill probably just do the art pipes with resonated xyz then. Im in NC which I think has visual as well as sniffer but as long as the art pipes keep the cel off my mechanic will overlook the visual im sure. I mean whos to argue with you if you call them "hfc's" anyway? Or can they tell

 

The emissions will fail without the cat, even with with the hfc section on the xyz. You could do berk HFCs and maybe pass, but I dno
