Default Help with Injen CAI

I need some feedback from those of you who have had no probles with your intake. I just installed one tonight and the car stumbles and misfires at low rpm. I used the search feature and found the 350z community to be half and half on this intake. Those that have had no problems, which way do you have the maf. Mine is currently with the connector on top. Do you have the little filter on that valve cover hose? Is it connected to the nipple on the chrome adapter? Need help, thanks...

Hmm... the only way I can help you is if I physically looked at it.
Maybe this helps http://www.overboost.com/story.asp?id=1085

"Those that have had no problems, which way do you have the maf."

It doesnt matter as long as its pointed in the right direction. FYI, one Z the connector is on top and to the right (towards driver side), and on the other Z its pointed down and to the right I believe.

"Do you have the little filter on that valve cover hose?"

Do you mean that little black thing that has the word Injen on it? If so you connect the stock black hose to one end of it (oil blowby filter/black thing) then connect the hose provided to the other end of "black thing", and the hose provided to the chrome "nipple" after the maf.

Didnt you get instructions? You cant make them any easier than that.

It does matter a little. I think the intake lets off a vibration if you have the MAF pointed down toward the block. The way you describe it is correctly installed though. It won't make a difference to the engine unless you physically remove the sensor and flip it around. Then you're in trouble.

First thing to check is your vacuum lines and all the silicone connectors for the kit to make sure you have a good seal. Next do an idle relearn (i.e. reset the ecu). Do a search for that, it's a relatively complicated pedal action. That should calm your idle down a little.

I don't know exactly what you mean when you say misfiring but my car has a jumpy idle when I installed the Injen. It has since calmed down.
