I'm not going to screw it up. The examples of 350Z's I posted aren't even banged up. I don't want to make it a drift missile. It's my daily driver and I occasionally want to take it to drift events.

just be careful, dont do it on the street.... actually go to an event where others can give you help and there is no chance of hitting anything

Yea I'm definitely not gonna do anything on the streets. I wouldn't even if I wanted to because if I got caught my parents would straight up sell the car. And then its taking the bus for me.

I have no problems with kids owning 350z's. Just don't douche it up and give the rest of us bad reps.

I bought my Z when I was 18, 1 month after I graduated.

Around here Z's are turning into the new Civic and get no respect anymore.

You made a thread asking for opinions, I gave you mine.

My car is lowered and has modified exhaust. But it's done properly and doesn't sound like raspy ***.

Just so you know, drifting puts a lot of strain on a car. For starters, you destroy tires. Also it puts tons of strain on the diff, tranny, engine, suspension, basically anything mechanical. With that being said, who is going to fix the car when stuff breaks? You surely cannot afford to do that since you do not have a job.

Like I said before, I am trying to help you understand. I remember when I was 16 I made tons of stupid mistakes with my car, and at the time it made perfect sense. Looking back I can't believe how much of an *** I was. Just trying to save you from that.

Any type of racing, including drifting, is very expensive. If you REALLY want to get into drifting, I highly suggest saving some money and buying an under $1,000 rwd car such as a 240SX or Miata and bringing that to the drift events. I wouldn't even register it, just trailer it to the event so you have no cost of insurance. So if you break the car, you broke a $1,000 car, not a 350Z.

Ok thanks. I understand the strains of drifting. I won't be doing drifting events until I have my own job in college. It doesn't make sense while im in high school. I am going to go to a drift school that is local here in texas where they have a provided car I can learn on. Also I have psyched myself out of this exhaust and I listened to the 5Zigen and the the Tomei Expreme Ti and it sounded like crap. So right now I've called around about the M7 T-Titan dual exhaust as it is titanium dual that is only $950. I talked to Thmotorsports and there trying to dig up some info and pictures on it. If that doesn't pan out I will just sack up and pay the $950 for the Tomei Expreme as it is one of the nicest out there and sounds great.

Yes, I have. It is $1600 dollars. I can't afford that. And anyways I want something that is different from what everyone has and if I end up with the Tomei I know that is a great exhaust.

Even though I live in Texas my car is registered in Alabama. They do not have emissions. So does that mean its legal for me to get test pipes?
Thanks, Kaleb

it is only illegal if you have a check engine light when you go to inspect here, you will have to register and inspect it sooner or later i have the ART pipes, but the tuner turned off the o2 sensors so i pass inspection without any issue

Would I need a tune to get the lights off. Also my primary residence is in alabama. So I don't think I will have to register it here.

Ok well the Intensepower Test pipes come with the CEL Fix for 02 sensors. Would you recommend that. I saw a review on another 350z forum and got a good review.
