this.

before the xyz it sounded like butt at all times when in the car. sounded better on the outside, especially at wot. xyz makes it sound good all the time

I'm just about to buy the MD XYZ to complete my S-tune setup as my Y-pipe is leaking... I'm torn between the resonated or straight pipe attachment... Anyone have suggestions?

Right, I'm just wondering if the straight pipe will change the exhaust note a lot? I sometimes feel the s-tune is a little too quiet, but at the same time I love it's sound. Will the resonated pipe also increase the volume of the exhaust?

a resonator won't make your car louder. it will reduce/eliminate rasp and, on some cars, cabin drone. if you want volume, the y pipe is the least of your worries. get some hfc's.

Gotcha, I do have plans for some stollen hfc's in the near future. I had the opportunity to hear an xyz with resonator mated to an s-tune over the weekend and it definitely helped make my decision. It cleans up the sound nicely, while making it deeper and sexier.
