You just created an exhaust leak lol. Bad for the motor? No. Bad for the image of a Z owner? Definitely

Bolt that sh! back together and save up for an exhaust or drive it stock.

You'll probably smell it a lot more which is bad for your health. Pay someone a small amount of money to fab up a muffler delete instead if sound is all you want.

Exhaust fumes at a stop light to make the Z sound like a Civic with a fat cannon is definitely awesome.

This is new to me. I've been here 9 years and have never heard of spacing a muffler out. What the heck is this trend?

I did it back when I first got the car. It does sound better but it will melt your inner fender out on the driver side.

Plus it gets the back of the car all sooty.

Get a muffler shop to make a delete for you. I used a muffler delete for a camaro to make mine.

I ran with the stock exhaust and a muffler delete for years, now I have a resonated XYZ pipe and it sounds so much better.

Doesn't sound like a very productive modification...

Just unhooking the muffler is not. I like the muffler delete though. Gives it a nice tone, is almost dead silent at idle and is only loud if you are WOT. Has a little too much rasp though.

With the XYZ pipe and a resonator it is nice and smooth. I'll have to get a new video of it.

I have $300 total invested in my exhaust and it doesn't grab every cops attention and doesn't **** off my neighbors but it's loud enough for me to hear it and be happy.

Why so much bending in the last pic of the muffler delete? Why not just cut the bend off of the mid pipe and then just make a y straight to the exhaust tips?

I wanted to do a stock replacement so if for some reason I ever wanted to go back to factory etc.. it would just bolt right back together.

Oh I didn't even see that it was bolted together. Just curious because when I did mine last year I just cut up my OEM stuff. Figured i would only swap it out when I got an actual catback. The bends make it look fancier
