ok set up is evo2 with art pipes currently. I want to get rid of the rasp 3k-4k.

1. idea I have is putting the 11386 or w/e maganflow x muffler in place of the resonators on the exhaust

2. Idea is to run a single pipe from the y collector to one of the resonators and turn it into a single running just the drivers side muffler.

any thoughts to how each would turn out.

I really like how it is quiet now at part throttle and crusing speeds, untill you get on it. with just the evo 2 it was quieter than stock with the stock resonator removed, (that was how I bought the car).

 

I love my Greddy Evo II exhaust. Glad I didn't buy art pipes when I had the chance because you just confirmed there's rasp. However, I bought a set of GTM test pipes and the rasp was so annoying/disgusting after 3-4k rpm... I was embarrass to drive my car. After that experiment, I was hesitant to buy art pipes even though they were cheap. So I bought a set of new stock cats instead and it sounds best with stock cats. I like how quiet it is too and at WOT, it sounds amazing... totally subjective though.

I would go with option 1, installing a magna flow H pipe versus going single and hacking into it. My 2 cent, GL.

 

its a x muffler and I would be hacking into it so to speak as well, yeah it was really horrible the first day. the art pipes have broke in though and mellowed it out a lot.

thanks for you opinion as well. was leaning that way but I always have crazy 2nd ideas that either turn out really awesome or miss the mark by a lot.

 

I have struggled here as well with my Evo2. I cut out the resonators and this is the current sound....

haha not really it didn't turn out well any way i was using my ipod you couldn't hear anything but it overloading the speaker
