Default 24hp exhaust

Do you guys think that this is possible? I live in australia where there is a pretty prestigious performance shop that onlt installs exhaust systems. The systems that they install are developed by their own R&D team. They claim that that they have a kit for the 350 that will add 24hp at the rear wheels. However, after reading hundreds of posts this sounds a little unrealistic when top name brands such as stillen and nismo add nothing near this amount. What do you guys think????

If you're referring to HiTech there are dynos in the Oz regional forum showing gains of up to 18rwkw (24rwhp). There's a theory that we have a more restrictive exhaust than the US cars and so we see more benefit. As Yun said, drop by and have a look.

I stand by that theory!

What yun & aps said, check out the dynos under the AU section of this forum for actual numbers.

Yea i'm reffering to hi-tech. I spoke to them today and they quoted me $AU 1500 which is pretty reasonable if it will actually increase the car by 18 kW. Went there today and he ran me through the whole system basically it is just your standard aftermarcket cat-back exhaust, and thats why i am a bit sceptical, dont wanna spend $1500 on a dud. While i was there i asked him about headers/extractors and he told me that he had installed them recently on some other cars and they didnt show any power increases at all.

On the topic of modifications in australia what do guys think of installing a POD you reckon it will make a good sound, doubt there will be any increases in power. Do you guys have any modifications?

hi morris. If you are talking the POD as the cone filter, asK ottonove. He just installed the JWT pop charger himself.

and just to help you to go to Australian Section here is the link.

Sorry don't mean to be rude but all your answer is in that section of the forum.
