Default K&N Typhoon CAI vs Pop Charger

Uh... First thing I wanted to say - I used search engine and I couldn't get the answer.

I'm considering getting new intake kit. I can get K&N Typhoon CAI for about 130$ (this one: http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...prod=69-7070TP). On the other hand I also considered PopCharger.

I'm mainly interested in HP gains, though I know these will be several HP at best. I'm out of my wits, I have no idea what to choose.

Easiest answer here: You won't see any improvement in HP gains with anything other than a simple K&N drop in filter.

The only reason to buy an aftermarket intake is purely for the looks and for sound.

Been researching the same thing recently. I have no experience with any intake but theres a thread where some guy tests out a bunch of different intakes. Most of them showed a LOSS in HP. The OEM air filter gave the highest HP.

You need a tune in order for any aftermarket intake/filter to give u any gains..

They both will add a couple of ponies. They both have their ups and downs, just buy the one you feel is better

Thanks. Then Popcharger it is. I would buy K&N CAI but I would also have to buy extra water repelling mesh and I still would be concerned about getting crap and water in my engine. Thank you for your input
