Default ..Motordyne Plenum Spacer

I just ordered the basic Motordyne Plenum Spacer for my 2008 350Z. It has been brought to my attention my engine is different than those I have seen in youtube installation videos. They all have one air filter and one throttle body while mine has two of each??? Hey I'm no mechanic.

Have I got the wrong part? First pick of engine in videos I have found...the second pic is like my engine.

Thanks...

07-08 has the HR motor with dual intakes, the 03-05 have the single intake. The spacer is meant for the single intake DE motor. So no, it won't work on your car.

I hope I can return it...my mistake totally. Is there a spacer for my engine?

I also have the Motordyne Shockwave exhaust ordered but has not been shipped.

Will this exhaust work on my 2008? Yikes...what a dummy!

Y PIPE, and Cat-back exhaust are universal for all years (03-08).

Test pipes / catalytic converters are different, 03-06 are the same, and 07-08 are the same.

Your exhaust will be perfectly fine for the car and a good choice of exhaust at that.

As for the spacers, just return it, there is no benefit for it on the 07-08 engine.

Your help is appreciated very much. Any advice on a dual filter system?

Intakes are going to be a very minimal gain, especially if you plan on getting a tune. I do it mostly for the looks / sound and would recommend Injen. But this can be whatever you prefer IMO.

Thanks again...I would have taken your advice on the Injen, but already pulled the trigger on the R2C FK10502-B. The sound is what I am after...also have the Motordyne Shockwave exhaust system ordered to pair with the dual intakes. I am sure I will be happy. I didn't want a wet filter system, and found no negative on the R2C.

On the positive note, discovering having HR instead of DE and figuring out spacer won't fit is much better outcome than the other way around. I'll check what's under my hood. Maybe this time I'll find HR

BTW about under the hood surprises. Some time ago I popped my E39 hood and under air filter box I found....a slice of bread. A WHOLE SLICE OF BREAD. I didn't brought butter tho so it was quite dry with all that sitting for weeks and such.
