Default Strong exhaust smell only with windows down??

All - I've noticed a strong exhaust smell in the car. I have a Powerlab turbo kit in it and have had it for quite a while now (8 years) and I don't think it's smelled this intense before in cabin while driving

I've done some research and looking for either experience or opinion:

1. Only happens when windows are down
2. Exhaust smell floods the car as soon as windows are opened

It is possible
1. I have a leak somewhere in the exhaust
2. Bad seal somewhere

My question is, if the exhaust is leaking, where is it getting pulled into the car? I thought it was being pulled back into the car through the windows after it exited the tips (angled Greddy TIC Dual), but I would think I would see a carbon line up the side of my car if that were true.

It must be coming through the floor or hatch?

thanks for any insight

Go to a muffler/exhaust shop for free inspection. Then decide if DIY or pay them.

The little vent I the back corner of the truck, knocked mine out unloading the car. Wow the exhaust fumes were pulled into the car.

True, and are you sure you're not running rich?
