Default Any info on Nismo B0100-350SM?

Hi,

I tried searching "B0100-350SM" and "B0100350SM" on the site and nothing popped up, which is surprising, so maybe i'm doing it wrong but does anyone have any info on B0100-350SM

Link https://larrymillernissanparts.com/n...catalogid=2370

I was under the impression the original nismo exhaust was discontinued you and then I saw this one. The tips are adjustable and have the nismo logo on the top, versus non adjustable and on the side from the older one. Also the welds look different. I was just hoping to get more/as much information on it since it looks different from the older ones.

Thanks
Jay

Here is an update I found, http://www.automobilemag.com/news/20...t-exhaust-kit/ Looks very similar to the Infiniti offering, and this article is from this year, so maybe it is a re-dux. I will keep researching and editing this post. The tips, welds, clamps and logo look the same.

That's very interesting..... it's definitely not the original S-Tune which carries PN 20100-RSZ35 (why I know that off top of head scares me.... ) but looks like a promising "re-dux" of the original, maybe? Hmmmm, verrrrry interesting.

Why not check with the sources selling this and pass it on to the my350Z homies jonesin' for an S-Tune?

This is on Z1 Motorsports website now. It's the R-tune nismo exhaust.

Good choices. Don't forget to factor in the Y-pipe needed for the R-Tune to actually do anything powerwise - however minimally - as an added cost.... $250 as the low point, $5-600 at the high end.

That price factor then makes the Gemini the winner as a complete system (price with Y-pipe is same as R-Tune without). Plus the Gemini is a true dual versus dual exit pipes/single muff.

Well I just bought it.

I've had the original S-Tune on my 1st 350z. I'll report back after I get it and let everyone know.

I'm sitting here laughing cuz only car guys can get excited about some tubes and an acoustic chambered CAN.

Here's the actual convo with my wife when I was so excited to tell her about the new exhaust system I'm building for my S30....

Me: "You should check this thing out! Six into one and 3" tubing all the way back to a resonator and a SuperTrapp!!"

Her: "What?"

Me: "My new super obnoxious loud ricey exhaust! I need it for the big a$$ triple carbs I'm putting on." (I'm not.... just had to build it up.)

Her: "Really? That's nice, hun....."

Me (feigning shock that she's not sharing the excitement): "Hmmmmmmph, you get all excited about new things you put into your crafts cabinet, I'd think you'd share my excitement!" (By this time, I'm just rashin' her...)

Her: "You know, you're right babe, OK.... [ she puts on her school principal voice.... aka "BOOMIN'!" ]

"WOW, THAT'S ONE BITCHIN' EXHAUST SYSTEM!!! WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG TO PUT IT ON??!! I LOVE IT... IT TURNS ME ON SO MUCH!!!! TAKE ME NOW!!!!!"

Me (as I'm running my hand through what's left of my hair to flatten it down after that): "Hmmm, I suppose I deserved that."

Thanks guys. I was already leaning towards the Gemini for these reasons. Mainly cost because its not like there is a HP boost here, it just SOUNDS better. At this point if it sounds as good as my wife's stock Q60 I'd be happy.

I've seen a few NISMO / S-Tunes pop up for sale locally however many of them have Y-pipe or mid-pipe issues. Sadly most of them are damaged, broken or just plain missing parts.

From what I've found out so far, the R-Tune is a new exhaust that's been under development for a little while now. Just waiting for some news on shipping. I'm very excited to see how it compares to the old S-Tune.

Y9ou dont want an S-Tune Y-pipe trust me. It cracks all the time and is one of the worst flowing Ys on the market, If you get an S-tune get a AAM Y-pipe or something.

(I have Z1 HFC and AAM Y in to an S-tune)

I disagree. It is just fine if you have stock cats. I had 0 issues with my Nismo Y-Pipe on the car for over 7 years.

Installed AAM test pipes and the Y-Pipe cracked in a week. They just can't handle test pipes or HFCs due to the design.

So now Z1 has the S-tune sports AAAND the R-tune which looks like a true dual so maybe the R-tune would not be a bad choice after all to go with.
