Default New Filter for JWT Popcharger

I need a new filter for my Popcharger (it's ruined, trust me) and I was wondering if there are any advantages to getting a longer filter. I'm going with an AEM dry filter, but it looks like they have heights from 5" like the JWT all the way up to 8.125" which will probably be too long to fit or maybe obscure the air inlet.

Bigger filter = more surface area to filter and more flow, right?
