Default Header comparisons

Has anyone taken the time to do a header dyno comparison? What about fitment? Design? Off the top of my head I can only think of a few available for the Z33:

Crawford
Borla
Stillen
Nismo

I was curious to know whether anyone had done a baseline dyno test and then installed the different headers to dyno.

I can't believe that not a single person here does not have an opinion on the headers offered for the 350Z.

Do a search, I believe Crawford has equal length tubes. That is a plus

Xerd claims 17whp on their header, but its a long tube so that accounts for about 6 hp just from removing the cats

What other mods do you have when you did that dyno?

Just got some dyno results for my car and the XERDs--picked up 16 rwhp and 14 ft. lbs. and lost very little on the low end. It picked back up around 2500 rpms, and the only time I'm in that rpm range is when I'm trying to stretch the gas milage.

Yeah, I'm running Xerd as well and I have to say I like the sound
with Xerd/Borla TD more than only the Borla TD.
It's higher pitched and more racy!

Who installed your Xerd headers for you ? I want to get mine installed soon...the Crawford plenum made me lose gobs of low end tq, hopefully the headers don't do the same

When we switched from the Nismo to the Xerd we gained a lot of torque but we lost some up top. Now that we have camshafts approved.........it has changed the specs a bit and we are trying the crawford out on the engine dyno this week. They are doing back to back runs.
We are always looking and willing to try.

Yep...I'll try to get the file itself and send it to you, unfortunately I don't have anything but a laminated copy of the printout.

I'll send you the last two dynos I've done.

Cool. Thanks. I want to just add headers and a y-pipe with stock muffler, cats, etc. That's good to know

From just pictures, to me it looks like Crawford and Stillen look the best (equal length pipes).

Are the Xerd the full length ones that eliminate the cats, or do they have short ones as well?

ATS Racing in Lewisville. For info--PM me, they've still got my car and are doing a few other things as well.
