Plenum
I can answer some of your concerns.
The reamed holes in particular were on some of the very first plenums, we have all of our jigs in place now and production has become much more refined.
We went from a constructed coolant block, to a molded piece to make for a much finer finish and fit. This way they all come out EXACTLY the same. I had a small issue with a couple of the coolant block, with overuse of sealant, but this has all been answered with our new molded piece.
Instructions are coming, we apologize, luckily some of the members here have been very helpful and have pioneered the do's and dont's of the plenum.
I would agree that installation is a notch harder than the factory plenum, or the crawford plenum. The fact that you cant just tighten down the flange bolts hard and leave them is the main difference. We have finalized a torque figure of 36 inch/lbs or 3 ft/lbs of torque. If you dont have a torque wrench, tighten it down until the entire flange and gasket make contact with the lower half of the plenum, then go around one by one and give it a half turn, it doesnt take too much to get a good seal.
I advise using a 1/4" ratchet or even a nut driver and simply get them "snug"
We will obviously stand behind our product. We are constantly trying to make a better product, and if problems arise with earlier plenums, they will be handled promptly and professionally.
thanks everyone
p.s. - man I love that gloss black plenum

Thanks for always answering questions LSD and being honest with everything. I should be getting my plenum tomorrow (I dunno if the cats are in the same order or not), but I cant wait to put it on.
