Default Test Pipe Question...

Someone please tell me which test pipes would be ideal for going to forced induction. I will put on the Greddy kit in the future, but right now I want some extra oomph. Who has the largest diameter piping? Should I get high flow cats instead?

wouldnt a turbo require a single cat? dont quote me on that. but the Z has 2 cats, I beleive a turbo routes both headers to one pipe for the turbo, so unless you split the exhaust again to have 2 of everything from there(waste of weight) you only need one.

whatever you get probably wont be applicable to the turbo setup...

I want the Greddy kit and it has two turbos. Both run down to an individual cat on either side and then to the y pipe. With FI, the larger the diameter is better. Know any sizes of these test pipes that are out? Thanks...

oh I was under the impression the greddy was a sequential turbo, which would be 2 inline with each other.

my mistake.

We offer test pipes, test pipes with resonators, and high flow cats.

The piping is 2.25" diameter which matches up perfectly with most aftermarket exhausts.

We reccomend the straight through test pipes or pipes with resonators for FI, because of their superior flow capabilities. The pipes with resonators sound awesome, but the test pipes alone have been known to have a raspy exhaust note. I dont know if this would still be a problem on a twin turbo set up.

Another forum member has shown a dynod gain of 35hp with the pipes with resonators on a greddy twin turbo set up, plus with the resonators, it will still sound awesome while you are NA

seriously, folks, I need to know which test pipe has the largest diameter and, therefore would be ideal for forced induction.

Kinetix, Helix or anyone else? Please help...
