Injen Intake / Nitrous System
I have the Injen CAI, but I only installed the short ram. I was worried about the chance of water being sucked into the intake. I want to go ahead in install the elbow peice but thought I'd check with you all. Anyone have any opinions on this???
Another thing....what mods would you guys say is a MUST before installing a nitrous system?
Thanks

the water sucking into the intake is overhyped. You need to complete submerge the intake filter to get the filter to suck up water. If 90% of the filter is covered at the same time you will be fine. It is only when there is absolutely NO AIR available and it HAS to suck in water. Many have installed this system without problems including myself. Before you get nitrous get some good tires maybe?
I was looking on the Injen web site and they have a black, plastic looking splash gaurd that wraps around one side of the filter. I didn't get this piece in my kit. Am I supposed to have this on?
you probably should(did you buy it used?), its not so much to protect from water splashing, as **** said, splashing will do nothing, its gotta be submerged.
but its actually to protect it from rocks and such. the filter is exposed.
