Default adding high flow cats or test pipes

will adding high flow cats or test pipes to a nismo exhaust have a significant change in the loudness of the exhaust? which one should I go with?? High flow cats??? Or the test pipes???? Does Nismo make either?

as far as the warranty thing goes. if nissan determines that the problem you are experiencing is caused from your modification, then they can void it. they can get picky if they want to.

i would think that an intake could be much more of a problem with the warranty than an exhaust.

i dont see why your old cat's warranty would be affected.

They will not "void" the warranty on the entire car, they will simply not cover that particular repair under the warranty. Do a search (On google) for Magnussen Moss Act of 1975. (sp?)

Whats up man?

The RT cats will make your set up with the NISMO exhaust much louder and meaner. Not to mention cats are a great Performance mod.

I kept my stock cats and advise you keep yours too, just in case you ever want to put them back on. I cant imagine you would ever want to though.

Again your Z will be way louder!
I love the sound

here is a short video I shot reving with the nismo and Rt's
If the link doesnt work try clicking
a few times. The server is crappy. eventually it should come on.

Diablo's car sounds MEAN as hell. I'm debating the test pipes and cats thing as well because test pipes are just so much cheaper. But with Hi Flow cats, u kno u can pass sniffer test and u won't have to jack up your car and put back the oem cats.

If you don't want a LOUD Z, but you do want a meaner tone. Go with Kinetix's High Flow Cats. They are AWESOME, are NOT Raspy at all, and are much cheaper than the RTs.

running lean means your a/f is out of whack and your engine does not have enough fuel. you need some tuning to fix it or your engine could be in danger

labree motorsports makes test pipes w/ resonators that supposedly eliminate the raspy sound, but i've never heard sound clips... and i dunno if the resonators cut power or not... i was close to getting them till i found out they were almost $400... most test pipes are in the $200-300 range at the most

I would have to say that I do not believe that technically they would but, then again it depends on how much of a harda$$ the Service Manager wants to be. While legally you may still have a warranty, if the dealer won't honor it, you may have a headache on your hands. This is the situation that I was in for a while. What did I do? I called the Service Manager and told him what I planned on doing and he said no problem. Heck, he even offered to install some of the stuff! Call the dealer and talk to them...
