mine did not either. check the inside of the filter and see if there is excessive oil in ther as well. best way is to take a rag (clean of course, and not a paper towel) and run it through the backside of the filter (large opening) if oil appears on the rag, it is over oiled.

Mine DID come like that. I installed it with no problems. The thing sounds great. I'm sure the oil isn't any type of problem. Enjoy!

What's a good price for a Pop Charger? I had seen them for $90 a few months ago but now they are $120+. Any place you recommend buying from ?

i installed it after wiping off the excess oil guys, it just seems like it was on the metal part of the filter, not inside or anything...

just wanna say, the best 100 bucks i've spent on the car, the thing sounds SO awesome! especially at the top of the power band

mberthia... i got mine from Ultimate Z for 99 + shipping which came out to 108.99 and it was here within a week. Very happy, the install was a jif besides the part where i dropped my socket bit under the battery right as i was finishing up...what a waste of an hour :P

i guess my car didn't like getting devirginized, but once i started her up, she loved that roar

thumbs up for the pop charger
