Great looking exhaust...guys. I think I have made on my mind to get this.

Veilside Z...love your license plate. How did you manage to get that in UK?? Can you order personalized plate just as here in the U.S.?

Thanx gt3,

It's all a bit complicated with our new registrations... you can buy them before they are released from our Licensing Agency, but the number plates since mid 2001 all follow the same format:-

2 letters for the region where the car was registered, 2 numbers for the year it was registered, 3 random letters

The number part is worked out on the basis that first half 2003 = 03 / second half 2003 = 53, it's all rather complicated...

You can only have a Z in the last 3 letters, not the first two & you can't have the letter I - You also can't have a plate that makes the car appear younger than it is, but one that makes it look older is OK - hence my 03 plate on a December 2003 car.

I'd been waiting for the 350Z to be launched in the UK ever since I first saw the Concept, & we had to wait until the end of 2003 for the first deliveries (the agony) - but I had already bought the plate (which is OO03 SOZ) well before Nissan made the announcement that the car was coming here - I had faith

Nissan Motors Great Britain love the plate too my car has been featured in their magazine - which is kinda cool

To coin a US phrase "Awesome"

As you said at the beginning of the thread, definitely more of a low down bass tone to the exhaust, without any of the noise issues from a lot of other exhausts - definitely more exotic

Wow I knew it must be difficult to get a plate like that, but I didn't realize that the complexity involved. If you didn't mention it, I probably would not have realized that "5" was actually a "S" Thanks for the info and keep up the awesome work!!!

I gotta good UK plate too on my Z
The regestration is 'A7 TAK' but with some very careful modifications it now looks like ATTAK.

I used to have this on an '86 Transam with an American style plate - The police expressed a keen interest when I closed the letters up and told me in no unceratian terms to 'GET IT FIXED OR WE'LL TAKE THE PLATE OFF YOU' - Yes the British police can do that if you abuse the law.

I've had no problem with the police up to now with the Z but I've only done 4000 miles.

Regards
ATTAK Z

Pretty easy - just a straight swap for the standard muffler & mid-pipe (assuming that you're keeping your cats & Y pipe)

I've posted some pics of the install here ---> http://350zuk.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=5&t=2497

I installed mine at home, with a trolley jack & axle stands - no access problems

But if I read the pictures correctly its

33lbs 8oz for the stock system
17lbs 4oz for the Ti Muffler
7lbs 1oz for the Ti Mid Pipe

Thats only a 10lbs saving??
Didnt you weight the stock mid pipe? Or am i missing something?

Forgot to post the pic of the stock b-pipe. it is 9lbs and some change.

The total weight savings is arond18-20 lbs.with just the b pipe and muffler section.
