Best Exhaust for my Z

DO NOT get the Pro-1 if you don't want loud. Even with the silencers in place, it will be louder than a Borla. BUT, if you do like awesome sound (and a genuine 8-11 rwhp - my dyno results w/ no other mods) then by all means get that one. I don't think it sounds rice at all, very exotic sounding to my ears.
Here are some video clips without the silencers, one of mine on the dyno, another street fly-by of a Dallas owner:
Pro-1 Exhaust video clips
Right-click and "Save as" to your computer.
A ton of people seem to think that Borla is the best exhaust. I was thinking that the Stillen might give more power even though its heavy.
What is the brand of exhaust that is identical to the Stillen, but is all titanium so its much lighter?

Since the search is still down, you guys will have to just scroll back through the pages in this section and look for the threads that have all the exhaust sound clips. I don't have them bookmarked, but someone else here probably does and may post them.
I actually downloaded the Borla clips but don't have the bandwidth to host them. If you want and can accept them, PM me your email and I'll email them to you.
It truly is amazing how many exhausts there are for the 350Z.
Regarding how many dB's the Pro-1 exhausts put out, on a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate them (sans silencers) around......... INSANE.
Seriously, lots of resonation at full throttle around 3400-3800 rpm, various trim pieces shake inside of the car. But damn, no microphone catches all the harmonics and tonality of that exhaust! With the silencers, I would say they are about a 5. I have another video of the dyno run with the sillencers in place. It really is when the exhaust is under load that it's loud, if you modulate your throttle and shift under 3K rpm, it perfectly docile. I'm always selling people on these, but I did a lot of research before I bought. These are copies of the RS*R Exmag GT2 exhaust (these are stock Y-pipe back), but for $759 (3" version, -$20 for 2.5" version) vs. around $1100 for the RS*R. Extremely nice quality and came with gaskets, silencers and everything.

Well, the greddy is definitely worth a look. Sounded real good on sound clips, plus it is probably the most FI ready exhaust out there since it was introduced with the Greddy TT. For the money, the Borlas are hard to beat though.
Yo man the best exhaust system for you 350z under 900 is the Tanabe SRM Exhasut. Yo man you should consider droping your cars suspension by 1/2 or 1 inch or by getting bigger rims. But if you had to choose between the Injen SES System, Pro-1 System, or any JIC Magic Spartan Exhaust. I would choose the JIc Magic Spartan Exhaust its the best performence for the three.
Yeah, the Stillen exhaust is superb. I haven't heard a better sounding exhaust on a Z33 yet...but the power output is the variable I haven't decided on. Think the INJEN sys got the happy meduim between both worlds...
I have Stillen and I LOVE the sound. I my opinion, I think is has the best sound amongst all the exhaust. The more I hear it, better it gets. It has very very nice smooth deep tone but like every one says, its too damd expensive. I just hate the price.

So I vote for Nismo.
.
If the price is not an issue, I'll vote for Stillen.

Dyno them all on a same dyno in same day, then it will be more clear which manufacture produces best exhaust.

But that was 6 months or longer ago, and so many new exhaust have come out since those tests. The bottom line is that any cat back exhaust by itself will not yield anything more than 10-12 HP. These are mainly for style and sound, and the majority will give between 6-10 rwhp gains. The stock exhaust system is already well designed from the factory.
If all you are interested in is a power gain through better breathing, it has been determined (through testing by people on this forum) that an aftermarket Y-Pipe and Mid-pipe OR high-flow cats WITH the stock exhaust will gain as much as any aftermarket cat-back system. Some people like this because it accentuates the stock exhaust sound but guarantees no resonating and looks stock while gaining the same as potentially more expensive aftermarket exhaust.
I love my RS-R Exmag GT II. Yes it is loud, extremely loud but it comes with optional silencers that make it just a tad louder than stock. Sound is awesome without the silencers though. Build quality is top notch too. Got mine for ~ $800.00 so there are deals to be had out there.
No, dont have that much money... The Z is killing me right now. The deal is, i pay for the payments and my dad pays for the insurance, i am 18 so i think it is a good deal and at the same time I'm being some what responsible... Just doing one mod at a time.

You sound like a smart young man. In my opinion leave your stock exhaust alone( it really is a very good exhaust) and put your hard earned money into mods like Pop Charger $125.00- UR Crank Pulley with new belts $200.00 and maybe even a Kinetix plenum $389.00. If you add this up its about the same price as Borla True Duals and I think you will like the performance gains that you get from these mods. I have all the mods listed plus several more and hope that you keep that Z. Its a great ride.

Long tube to eliminate cats, but would the rest of the exaust be to restrictive for F/I with just those headers as a mod?
Also, if anyone has just installed these headers with no cat-back, what were the gains?
I have Xerds with no cats and Borla True Duals.I will be dynoing next Sat. but I have alot of other mods so I won't be able to give a HP number on just the headers. Also the stock exhaust is to restrictive for FI, better to have some type of true duals.
