Default Dual Exhaust Flowmasters With X Pipe?has Anyone Done This Or Similiar?

Has anyone ever done this set up in any way shape or form? If so what results, I was thinking about 2.5 dual magnaflow 2.5 X Pipe with either straight through round magnaflows .or 40 series flowmaster............tell me what you think Priced anywhere from 550.00 to 650.00..........beats 1k and up for a premade one. I Really want the borla ......but it sounds a little tame......

Funny you should ask. A good friend of mine David (NismoV35 on the g35driver.com forum) has a custom fowmaster (w/ X-pipe) system done on his 6MT coupe. I actually made a video of it. Since it is still on my server, check it out.

Hope that helps.

thanks for posting the link. i wonder what it is about the system that makes it sound "tinny"?

i had flowmasters on my 95 mustang cobra and it didnt have that "tinny" sound.

i wonder if the tubing on your friend's car is touching something and vibrating on it?

I am a little confused Doesn't the Z have a Y pipe not an X pipe?

I have been considering getting a Magnaflow muffler and an aftermarket Y pipe as well. I hear its the Y pipe that gives you most of the gains.

I had a custom true dual with 3" piping, X-Pipe and dual Flowmaster DeltaFlow 40 series. Entirely too much vibration for me so I had it all cut out and went with my current setup.
