If you ask me I say nismo...

The sound is better w/ the nismo

the borla sounds like a muffled out boom box...

nismo is constructed of 3 pieces that connects with flanges so the connections are secure...

the borla is a connector set made of about 12 pieces that you need to clamp together... we have customers come in for us to fix leaks and rattles with that exhaust all the time...

I feel the need to defend Borla because I really like the sound. I definitely prefer it over the Nismo sound. And according to SportZMagazine the Borla puts out an additional 2HP over the Nismo. I haven't had any leaks yet, but there are a lot of pieces.

Just my $0.02.

Thats fine

We can all have our own opinions and personal taste...

If I had to pick an exhaust and it had absolutly nothing to do with HP... it would be the NISMO or Tanabe...

Some people say that the Z was not made for a TD exhaust. This may be true for a N/A car, but I eventually plan to get a TT kit. I have talked to people with TT kits who have had both Y-pipe and TD exhausts and they said the TD performs better. It is hard to get people with different exhausts side by side to make a true sound comparison, but I haven;t heard anything that makes me go wow yet. Other than the Borla, I like the sound of the Fujitsobo (but it's not a TD). And to agree with you J. it is all a personal preference. I just felt the need to speak up on Borla's behalf since I see so many people knocking it.

If you go back to my first posts on this board (not jason@performance) I wanted borla... I had borla on my 280ZX turbo... I had borla on my Civic... I had borla on my Cougar... I had borla on my Explorer...

When I first got this car I wanted the Borla... then again it was the only system out... Then the NISMO stuff starting being talked about... I was one of the first people to get a NISMO exhaust (I paid $1400 plus install and tax at my local dealer (this was before perf-nissan was on the board too)) and I was the first to put sound clips of the NISMO exhaust on this site...

I have not one thing against borla products... Just on this particular car... It is not my personal preferance...

Since the borla is just sitting in the shed , I would gladly just take it off you hands to free up some place. Depending on how far from orlando I could just come and pick it as to save you time of shipping...
