Default Installed my Kinetix Plenum and now my Service Engine Light is on???

Hey everyone, I installed my V3 Kinetix Plenum yesterday and after like 20 miles of driving the Service Engine Soon light is going on.

I did a reset as per TechoSquares directions and the light came back on... Any hunchs as to what may be the issue

Thanks

I have had a V3 for a week with about 500 or so miles with no probs. Did you install it correctly? Used the exisiting gasket, checked to make sure you didnt pinch the rubber around the oil filler? tighten down the small screws inside the plenum? remember to rehook your antifreeze lines? Is it cracked or leaking?

the install is perfect as far as I can tell... torqued everydown with a torque wrench .... all the lines were connected again and the oil filler gasket did not cause any trouble.

Did you disconnect the battery cable before installing the plenum?
I believe that if you disconnect the plug (of wires) at the throttle body without disconnecting the battery cable first, the check engine light will light up while driving.

I remember this being an important step when installing a cold air intake too...

Id swap back to stock and reset again. see if that solves the problem. always good to rule out the chance that its just coincidence, probably not, but good place to start.

from there, assuming that gets it to go away, you can reinstall it; and perhaps that will solve whatever little thing was the issue.

if it STILL comes back on and it didnt when it was back to stock. well, figure that out then.
