Who uses metal air filters?

i need to get a new air filter and was thinking about getting an aftermarket drop in filter. i was thinking about the apexi drop in filter and wanted to know opinions or suggestions. and how does it compare to the oem filter.

I think in a test, the Apexi cone filter provided the highest power. I wish they made panel filters when I bought my HKS.
