Default Injen SES1985C Installed/Mini Review (pics)

Install:
Got it today at 1:40 pm and had it on by 4:00 pm. The install took about 45 mins at the shop The rear right hanger has to be relocated (easy). Other than that....it's almost too easy to install. Oh, I did forget to add the little bracket the first time (holds the two pipes together - close up pics will follow tomorow). But put it back on the lift and took two mins to put on.

The Bad:
The only thing is, this exhaust comes OILED from the factory (I guess so it doesn't rust?) and I was blowing blue smoke for the first 20 miles.

The Good:
Soundwise - WOW!! Nice deep grumble even at 2000 rpm. It is not obnoxiously loud but it will turn heads. Butt Dyno - hmm hard to say - I am heading to the drag strip tomorrow to see if I can improve on my times with this new mod. Dyno - will soon follow.

The Order:
I placed my order with Jason @ Performance Nissan Friday of last week - awesome transaction, he was kind enough to put up with my obessesion for a tracking number Honestly, the worst part about it is that FedEx only updates their website once a day Anways, Jason made this a smooth transaction and I highly recommend his services.

.....and now for the pics!

Nice write-up. I got mine from Jason as well, can't beat working with him.

Mine has been blowing out white smoke (although it seems to be getting better). Does yours also smell at all? I was thinking that it was the grease burning? Or the anti-sieze even? Oh well, as long as the smoke isn't black, it should be good. I'll give it a week and go from there.

What do you mean when you say the rear right hanger had to be relocated? What exactly was involved in doing so? I need to know since I'll be doing an Injen install on my car next week.

The stock hanger (where the exhaust rests/ mounts) is a rubber piece bolted to the car. Just undo the bolt and relocated the hanger/rubber piece. On the Injen exhaust (right side looking from the back of the car) is where the stock hanger needs to be relocated to. There is already a place for the stock hanger to mount to. So it is just a matter of unscrewing a bolt, removing a rubber hanger, relocating it (you can't iss the location) and bolting it down again. I have step by step pics, I just need to upload them.

I got mine for $850 shipped. The install was $40 - but I knew the guy Install will most likely be closer to $80 anywhere else.

The exhaust is really easy to install. I would think that putting it up on jacks, the install should take less than 2 hours. On the lift...well....45 mins - plus I didn't have to get my hands dirty

Look at my thread in the Engine forum for closeup pics.

But yeah, relocating the hanger thingy is very simple (just Injen's instructions suck), as nisslow02 said, its simply unbolting one bolt and putting it another (that's already there).
