Unhappy Nismo exhaust droning?

I installed my Nismo S-tune exhaust 2 weeks ago. I noticed the exhaust droning around 75-85mph on any grade except perfectly level ground. Its not loud and music volume of 15+ on the Bose covers the noise. I really like the Nismo exhaust because it sound like stock only slightly louder.

Is this normal?

What does it sound like after a few thousand miles?

Does the new straight tip Injen do this?

Yup, it's normal at 70+ (at least for me). As you observed, crank up the stereo and you hardly notice it. It becomes a little annoying on a long trip when you don't have the music on.

I have not really noticed any change in tone or volume after a couple thousand miles. Some people reported that it was loud initially and it toned down after the first thousand miles. I think they just got used to it.

Some people reported that the tone of the exhaust smoothed out.

I don't know if it is me, but the exhaust is much louder when the car is cold than when its at full operating temp. I can only hope it gets quieter or tones down. I got the Nismo exhaust for sound. Otherwise I would have picked up the beautiful Injen straight tip.

It is normal between 2900-3100 RPM...

it gets louder at those RPM's on pretty much all of the exhausts....
