Question Having a hard time picking out a exhaust!

im having a super hard time picking out a exhaust....what it comes down to is i want sumthin pretty good...i dont want anything with a cheap name....when it comes to sound i like the sounds of the y pipe backs alot more than the true duals....i am interested in the new straight tip true dual from injen but all the sound clips i have heard are from there website and they sounded shitty to me....but anyways i was going to get and still might get either the rsr or invidia but i have heard from alot of people that they are cheaper companys...dont know if this is true or not but i do like the sounds alot from them...i also would like sumthin i can get the most power out of my car with...i know the true duals would prolly give me more then a y pipe back but im sure if i added test pipes to the y pipe back it would be just as free flowing....any help would be appreciated

A lot of people are getting the Fujitsubo and Injen. Fuji has a more tame sound while the injen has a wilder note. If you want something on the louder side that will turn some heads, I think the injen is a good choice. I know Yuichi at KurumaZ has them in stock.

I like a tame yet exotic sound so I went the Fujitsubo Ti.

yes yes, we'd all like a fujitsubo Ti, lol.

check the region forums and see if theres a meet coming up, Im sure someone there will have some exhausts for you to listen to in person. I wasnt sure what to expect from the injen, but I am extremely happy, its deep, its throaty and its loud. its not buzzy, and its not raspy.

got my Inejn SES yesterday. took me and my brother and our friend 20 mins to install. literlly- 20mins. very nice exhaust. hardest thing was removing the stock muffler from its hangers. however, l wouldnt recommend this exhuast to just anyone. with about 100 miles on the exhuast now, i can see this is going to be a very loud exhuast. between 1k and 3k rpms the exhaust is very loud. higher rpms it isnt louder than the noise from the intake.

The stainless is real nice too. I would have got it had I not stumbled on this one.

I dont have y pipe yet. I have one waiting. Being that it has flex pipe I know it will fit fine. Infact the one I am waiting on is installed on a car with crawford cats.

Check out my video on the Injen straight tip:

The comment about bein louder between 1-3k rpms is definitely true, but it's an awesome sound.

The construction is exactly the same so I would think they sound exactly the same; but then again, beer tastes a lot better from a pilsner than a plastic cup so who knows?

different densities of materials will have different sounds. like cold instruments vs warm instruments. and why many opted for the denser stainless steel test pipes that they said sounded better.

no idea which direction the difference will go towards, but it should be different.

All this exhaust talk as of late has me on the verge of just taking a credit card out and having it shipped to a friend's house so my mom doesn't castrate me.....that Injen looksss soo good. Does anyone have the link to the site with all the exhaust clips?

Or suggestions. I thought I wanted something very tame but I figure If Im gonna be in the whole $900, I want something that is sort of loud without being Civic-y in its noise and that preferably has some proven gains...

ALso what are your guys thoughts on those like just the mufflers Performance Nissan sells for like 500. If I just want the noise, will just the muffler do it? Are there benefits to the whole exhaust with all the other pieces?

i personally think im just gonna end up going with the top speed pro n1 exhaust...it sounds ****ingg awesome and it isnt really expensive...what peopl have to think also is just because a exhaust isnt true dual doesnt mean its not gonna make hp...i personally would suggest anyone thats buying a exhaust buy i because of how it sounds....5hp and 10hp differences isnt gonna make a difference...personally i think the new injen true dual is kinda played out and way too hyped up for what it is....just my .02 cents
