Default Popcharger Problem - Need help now!

I finally installed my popcharger this morning and the SES light went on. I then disconnected the battery for about 20 minutes and let it idle. Light is still on. Drove it for about 20 miles, but the light remains on.

What adds to the problem is that I have an appointment with Nissan tomorrow to fix my window's motor. This mod voids the warranty, correct? Would it be a good idea to remove this mod and put the old air filter back on...for tomorrow anyway? Also, if the light stays on after the popcharger is removed, should I ask them to take a look at it for the problem?

What should i do!

Thanks!

Although I haven't had personal experience with this, getting a mod does not automatically void your whole warranty. From what I understand, they can only deny your warranty claim IF the problem was caused by the mod itself. An engine mod should not affect your warranty on a window motor.

Only1,

dont worry about your pop charger voiding your warranty. Your window motor failure has nothing to do with installing your pop charger. Only way it will void your warranty is if your pop charger is the direct cause of any mechanical failure. I wouldnt worry about it and dont worry about removing the pop charger.

As far as your SES light is concern, drive your car for about a week or less and the light will go away. When I had installed my Injen, it stayed on about 3 days and it went off on its own.

I hope this helps.

The question about the window motor was because I thought that the techs would have to disconnect the battery and would see I made this mod. I wanted to know if I had any future problem within the engine, say the engine light goes on in the future for a different problem, would they make me pay for it because I installed the popcharger?

I just want to make sure that if I end up having some big problem in 3 months and they tell me, oh well, you had this mod done, now you have to pay for everything. Thats what I am worried about.

It's HIGHLY improbable for an airfilter to cause engine damage unless it's not there period, meaning you're sucking in all the crap from the air. I wouldn't worry at all about the popcharger, there are laws that protect you from this kind of thing, and I don't know if you've ever looked at the box of a K&N filter or intake system, but it says right on there that the dealer cannot tell you what type of filter you can use on the vehicle unless they provide it to you free of charge. So in other words, don't worry.

Thanks everyone for calming my fears and for the quick responses. Is the best mod to do next the plenum?

now that could void your warranty so watch out...not to put fear in ya but I know some folks that came across warranty issues with plenum.

i would say go with exhaust or test pipe.
