my kinetix plenum review
"but there were 4 models before it."
I asked Doug that question yesterday. According to him, the latest Crawford Plenum is referred to as the V-5 because of number of prototypes they made. Not all plenum prototypes were made made for commerical sales.
That's the Crawford Plemun triva for today.

I don't think that they are making plenums with the thought that they will have to make design changes down the road. I believe that each one they produce is done with the thought that it's the "last one", but after being installed and used, they discover that there are flaws that need to be resolved, henceforth the next version. I really don't think they are sitting around going "Let's get all these V3 plenums shipped out to make room for the new V4's that are being made."

Hence, v3 should in fact be the v4 that's showing up now...
I know there are certain things they can't account for in the shop, but they've had the same cracking problem (for the most part) from the beginning. This should have been addressed and completey fixed in V2...and they should have been a little more sure it was fixed. v4 is out, and who's convinced this is the last one??? They've lost my confidence vote on that one...

I ordered the Kinetix Plenum because I wanted to keep my stock manifold and didn't want to spend nearly $800 for the Crawford, Strut Bar, and my manifold. If it breaks, I'll send it back, if it breaks again I'll send it back, then eBay the new one.
