Default Attn: Those with failed RT cats

Just want to start a list of those with failed RT cats so we can get a number. It appears that this is becoming a serious problem (actually has been for a while). I still haven't had a chance to contact RT about mine (been too busy with work and getting ready to ZCon) but thought it would be good if we can show them a solid number of 350's with failures. If your RT's have failed please add you name to the list, along with purchase date and number of miles until failure. Thanks.

1. failsafe, Oct 03, 10K miles
2. ???

Add me to the list... Lasted 3K miles / 5-6 months. I noticed mine failed last month (May).

Booger is another member that recently had problems... Do a search, I think there are 12 or 13 guys including those that have hollowed theirs out with issues.

i wonder if those who gutted their cats....would RT still take those back in return for a new set....i think you guys are screwed unless your just going to run your gutted cats and not worry about emissions....if your looking to get a new set its gonna cost you money to at least send them back to RT. i have had experience with RT in the past and lets just say they suck all around....except for performance....and for that matter you might as well have just gotten test pipes....its really too bad but i hope they do something for you guys that have had to deal with the problems...peace out

matt g. probably doesn't post anymore since he sold his 350z, but his RT cats failed as well. Lets just say that the RT cat failure was the reason he had to sell the Z.

did it somehow f-up the rest of the car, or was it that reason alone that he sold his car?

edit: nevermind, just read the other post

I took mine off because I couldn't stand the "bb's in the can" sound anymore. The right (passenger) guts are clunking around. I guess that would be failure??? Drivers side seems ok.

what do you think?

screaminz, i'm guessing you don't have 2.5 million miles on your car so i put you down for 2500.

please, please....only post if you are certain they failed...and removed them to visual inspect and confirm damage.

Sometimes, these posts turn into a free-for-all. Unless it collapsed and you have confirmed it...dont post. If they are raspy or whatever...dont post as a failure.

Sorry for the voice of reason.

Yes you can but the problem now is that nobody wants them because they are failing.
