Default HELP - still - - Nismo CAI - version 2

Who else has the version 2 Nismo CAI? - I installed mine, see my other "HELP" post - - long story short, car won't run - - did your MAF sensor mount 180 degrees opposite from the oem setup?? This would cause the air flow past the MAF to be in the opposite direction - does that matter????

This is my daily driver - - need help ASAP or I'll have to go to my dealer (and I'm sure he has no experience with Nismo CAI)

When I installed mine I left the plastic OEM MAF tube facing upwards, it seemed like it had enough clearence, but when I closed the hood a few times it smashed the MAF wires, and had the same symptoms you described. There was no visible damage and it worked for about a week of opening and closing the hood...so I'm not sure if that helps or not. Luckily the dealership covered the MAF replacements...so I just reinstalled the MAF tube upsidedown and now it seems to work perfectly...Emergency Limp Home Mode sucks doesnt it...?

I found the problem - the Nismo version 2 has a long tube that has a flange welded to it to mount the MAF - - the falnge is welded on backwards - the MAF can't be mounted the right way - - took it all off and car started and ran fine, still have the service engine light - - checking with Nissan to see whats next - thanks for the help.
