Did the addition of these headers make your car significantly louder? ... assuming you're OEM cats are in place.

I just installed a set of resonated pipes ... and gosh, I can't bare the increased noise level. They are coming off the car and straight to the classified section. Now I'm a little spooked about the headers. This is one install where I don't have the luxury of spent the time to install then to uninstall. icon8:

Installed headers and high flow cats and I can honestly say that sound is not that much louder. On hard acceleration the Injen intake makes more noise than the exhaust.

I decided to let Perfomance Nissan install them.
At least the car will be done in a few hours and I can keep my Saturday.
It should be done by now!
Later!

I couldn’t agree more, so I am doing it myself. I don’t believe in paying for bolt on installations, and I have done many of these installs on many diff. cars. That being said wisdom is kicking in and I have to visit my friend in Louisiana, he has the lift and air compressor. I am not about to do this with jack stands and hand tools. Besides it gives me an excuse to visit family and friends, and “test” the headers at No Problem Raceway road course in south louisiana. Any track time at a new track it worth it. Although I am fighting myself, the butt dyno is telling me to wake up early tomorrow and go for it.

It is a DIY project. I would love to do it, but without a lift is not in my book any more.
Hey, If its $300/4hrs vs my back/body/8hrs+, $300 wins all the time.
After all that, I get to play with it instead of soaking in the jacuzzi for 2 days.

At idle, its very calm but louder than stock. While driving from 3500 to about 4500 rpm, it sound like a mad man just trying to get out. But at about 4500 rpm, WOT, it kicks in and boom!!!!
Very kick a$$!
Butt dyno says about 7 to 9 hp @ the top end.
Exhaust complete: Priceless!!
Time for the real dyno!

BTW:
Peformance Nissans said the passenger side exhaust is a pain to take off
