Default I might be interested

I might be interested in the Amuse exhaust but I am not an early adopter. I will wait for field reports to come in on it before deciding. I like the sound and warranty of the stock exhaust system, so an aftermarket unit would have to add power, enhance sound, and be of high quality for me to consider it.

well for starters the vq engine has plenty of low end torque so if you lose some with this amuse exhaust who cares???

what ur losing down low ur gaining up high!

its not like in hondas

Here is my translation of the Option magazine from an earlier post. It's regarding the Amuse exhaust system and will give you guys a better idea about the graph results.

Exhaust tuning:
(Dyno Tests)

A: Stock (258.2 PS)
B: R1 Class Titanium Exhaust (270.6 PS - 15 PS gains)
C: B + Straight Pipes (Under 3000 rpm it made slightly less power than A or B. However from 3000+ rpm the power curve rose sharply to 282.4 PS - 24.2 PS gains)

The torque curve shows similar results.
They suspect that exhaust pulses have something to contribute to the loss of power below 3000 rpm. This can be corrected by adjusting the CVTC valve timing.

They were pretty suprised at the amount of power that can be gained just from tuning the exhaust. They go on to say that the exhaust manifold for the Z33 is extremely short. The length of the Z33 manifold plus the straight pipe is probably the same length as the GTR exhaust manifold. Therefore manipulating the straight pipe probably had a duel benefit by giving a similar effect as tuning the manifold as well.

That's it for now!

I love the exhaust, but what is the obsession with titanium? I'm not going to pay more than about $700 for an exhaust. The aluminum exhaust on my MR2 has been fine so far and it's good and light.

Nice to see you over here iMR2
