Default Test Pipes

Does anyone do everyday driving with test pipes? I guess this question is directed to people in the north east because I know you can get away with anything in Florida and down south.

Im in NJ and Im trying to decide whether to go with test pipes or high flow cats which are much more expensive. Any info or past experiences would be appreciated.

test pipes are fine for daily driving but you won't pass emmissions w/them

Im more concerned with the sound being too loud and getting pulled over.

Im not concerened with emissions because I will just get my car inspected then put the test pipes on and then next year throw the cats back on for inspection etc etc etc.

I was just curious if the test pipes are too loud so that you would get pulled over. Also does anyone have any reccomended brands of pipes they have had good luck with and that arn't to raspy? Thanx in advance for any info.

it depends on what you think is loud. i personnally do not think they are loud. i think the invidia exhaust is loud. the test pipes change the sound of the car but not in a negative way, but that's my opinion. do a search for some sound clips, i'm sure there are some on the forums somewhere
