Default Injen SES Straight Tip Exhaust Stinks

Just installed my Injen exhaust yesterday. Man does that thing smoke when you first start it up after installation. Now the inside of my car smells like an engine bonfire. Other than that it sounds pretty bad ***. Especially around 2500rpm. After installing the intake and Kinetix previously, I really couldn't hear my stock exhaust anymore but now I have that nice low rumble in the low range until the noise of the intake and plenum take over around 3500rpm. Car seems like it has more torque overall too. The only thing I noticed is that the driver side exhaust tip sticks out about 1/2 inch more than other one. I don't know how I can adjust for this. Maybe some of the welds were thicker on that side making the whole setup longer. Anyone else have a burnt smelling exhaust at first. Can't believe no one else mentioned it. My friend's fart can on his acura never smelled like that, but it was custom done.

I second ares' idea. The exhaust has room for "play" on where you want your tips to be set at. I spent about 30 minutes trying to make sure mine were perfectly centered.

The first run of of this Exhaust had a design flaw. The pass side is about 1/2 in shorter. Injen replaced both rear mufflers section for me with second run parts and they are both the same now.

It was not the way you installed it.

My exhaust is from the first run and everything fit perfectly and both sides are the same length. Mine stopped smoking the same day.

I have both the old and the newer version, and put them side by side, and there is clearly a design change on the passanger side rear muffler. Its is about 1/2 in longer then the old one. I'm a Mechanical Design Engineer.
Former B&M Designer, and have been in the Automotive Biz for over 30 Years-So Take MY WORD for it. IT WAS FIXED

And no they shipped me new ones and will be sending the old ones back soon.
