gutting cats
I see you have Kinetix test pipes . Why gut the cats ? I used a long rod and a long drill bit . Drill it and then pound the rod thru , keep doing it till it all fallls out.....Bill
You may have had rasp when gutting your RT cats, but I don't have any rasp with my OEM cats gutted. It was nothing short of a pain in the butt to get them completely gutted, but I have found it to be a noteworthy gain in power. I gained 13 HP from the gutted cats and retuning. The before and after pulls were only two weeks apart. It is my belief that gutting the cats allowed maximun gains from my Injen exhaust.
